About

An operator who builds.

FutureThink Labs brings together AI advisory, agentic engineering and AI-assisted product development. We help companies make informed decisions, build useful systems and put them into operation.

Commercial judgment runs through the work: positioning, pricing, partnerships, sales strategy and the changes a team needs to make to use new technology well.

We work with founders, leadership teams and operators facing an AI decision, a product build or a business problem that needs technical and commercial judgment.

The practice

Experienced leadership throughout.

The person leading your engagement stays involved in the work. Where a project needs specialist skills, we bring them in.

We evaluate technology through practical work: building agent systems, connecting tools and data, and testing the results.

Founder

Bruce Marler

Bruce founded FutureThink Labs in 2025 after a career spanning engineering, go-to-market, sales and revenue leadership across technology companies.

He designs and builds agent systems and advises leadership teams. The work draws on both: what the technology can do and what the business needs from it.

Why it matters

Engineering, revenue and customer experience.

Revenue and go-to-market

Commercial leadership.

Grew revenue for a global specialist sales team from $17M to $300M+, then tripled direct enterprise revenue in the social impact business from $40M to $120M while retaining the entire team. Led the company's first AI go-to-market for nonprofit and government.

Customer experience and operations

Experience at scale.

Led a global COVID-19 response program, with work recognized by Fast Company. Separately ran programs that reached 921 million people. Delivered real-time AI sentiment analysis across voice, video and text.

Infrastructure and engineering

Technical leadership.

Worked on commercial VoIP networks and internet infrastructure, led engineering as a CTO, and now builds agent systems for clients with today's models.

How we work

Clear expectations from the start.

Scope and price agreed first.
A written proposal sets out the work we recommend, deliverables, responsibilities, timing and price. The detailed analysis and delivery happen within the agreed engagement.
Work you can use and maintain.
You receive the recommendations, documentation and, where we build software, the code and access needed to run it.
Honest recommendations.
Sometimes the right answer is a smaller project, a process change or no AI investment at all. We say so and explain the alternatives.
Progress you can measure.
We agree how success will be assessed, whether that is revenue, cost, time saved or adoption, and review progress with you.

Tell us what you are working on.

Bring us a decision, an idea or a problem to work through. If you are still exploring, the AI Readiness Assessment can help you organize your questions.
